I have worked in environmental assessment and regulatory consulting for 20 years, and started McCallum Environmental in 2001. Working across industries such as oil and gas, renewables, transmission, property development, and infrastructure projects has given me the ability to take look at the big picture on projects. I try to ensure we all approach our work with the understanding of not only our processes, but yours. From engineering to financing and how we all work together to successfully execute your projects. And ultimately we understand our industry is about people, and their positions on how projects should look when the projects are completed.
Not only do I love what I do, but I know that I can’t do it without the support of family, friends and community. I try to give back to them, and myself, by travelling, volunteering, helping my employees grow, and trying to have fun. I’m also a cancer survivor, so that tends to keep all things in perspective.
I have 17 years experience with environmental and regulatory permitting in Nova Scotia and joined McCallum Environmental in 2010. I have completed environmental assessments, regulatory permitting, biophysical assessments and successful project management for clients in energy, transportation, property development, and industrial development. I am a wetland and watershed specialist and also have a wide range of experience with species at risk, fish and fish habitat, and wildlife studies.
